Today I want to share with you some exciting rumors about the Fujifilm X100… let’s call it the X100Z for now, the successor of the famous X100V. As you may know, the X100V was a huge hit among street photographers and enthusiasts, thanks to its sleek design, superb image quality, and versatile hybrid viewfinder. But what can we expect from the next generation of this iconic camera?

According to reliable sources, the Fujifilm X100V successor is expected to be announced in early 2024, and released in the spring of that year. That means we’re only a few months away from seeing this beauty in action!

The X100Z will feature the new 40-megapixel X-Trans V or the 26-megapixel stacked sensor from the X-H2s. This means that we can expect a significant boost in resolution, dynamic range, and low-light performance.

The X100Z will also benefit from the improved autofocus system and video capabilities of the new sensor, making it a more versatile tool for different situations. I personally would love to see the incredibly fast 26MP sensor, but that’s probably because I love to shoot video without tons of jitter.

But that’s not all. The X100Z will also have some new features that will make it even more appealing to Fuji lovers. For example, it will have a new digital teleconverter option, allowing you to shoot at 80mm or 85mm equivalent focal length without losing much quality (here, the 40 MP sensor would make more sense). It will also have a new aspect ratio option, inspired by the legendary X-Pan film camera, that will let you capture stunning panoramic images in 65:24 format . And of course, it will retain the classic design and ergonomics of the X100 series, with some minor tweaks and improvements.

What else can we expect?

– A new 23mm f/1.4 lens, which will offer a brighter aperture, sharper details, and smoother bokeh. This will also make the camera slightly larger and heavier than the X100V, but still very compact and portable.

– A new tilting touchscreen, which will allow you to adjust the angle of the screen for easier shooting from different perspectives. This will also make the camera more user-friendly and intuitive.

– A new weather-sealed body, which will protect the camera from dust and moisture. This will make the X100Z more durable and reliable for outdoor shooting.

– A new battery, which will provide longer battery life and faster charging. This will make the X100Z more convenient and practical for travel and everyday use.

As you can see, the X100Z will be a significant upgrade from the X100V, and a worthy successor to the legendary X100 series. It will be a camera that will appeal to both enthusiasts and professionals, who value style, simplicity, and quality.

The X100V is already a fantastic camera, but the X100Z will be even better. If you’re looking for a compact camera that can deliver amazing results in any situation, you should definitely get the X100Z when it comes out. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
