TT Artisan for FUJIFILM? My Honest Review / Unbelievable Price

If you are a fan of manual focus lenses and vintage style or you are on a tight budget, you might want to check out the TT Artisan lenses for Fujifilm X mount. These lenses are very (!) affordable, well-built, and offer some unique focal lengths and apertures for the Fuji system. In this blog post, I will review three of their lenses: the 7.5mm f/2.0 fisheye, the 35mm f/1.4, and the 50mm f/1.2.

The 7.5mm f/2.0 fisheye is a fun lens to use for creative shots. It has a 180-degree angle of view, which means you can capture a lot of scenery in one frame. The lens is sharp in the center, but softens towards the edges, as expected from a fisheye lens. The distortion is also very noticeable, but that’s part of the charm of this lens. The lens has a metal body and a smooth focus ring. It also comes with a detachable lens hood and a metal cap.

The 35mm f/1.4 is a classic focal length for street photography and portraits. It has a fast aperture that allows you to create beautiful bokeh and isolate your subject from the background. The lens is also very compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. The lens has a metal body and an aperture ring with click stops. The focus ring is smooth and precise, but a bit stiff. The lens has good sharpness and contrast, but suffers from some chromatic aberration and vignetting at wide apertures. Price is only 83 $ (seriously!)

The 50mm f/1.2 is a dreamy lens for portraits and low-light photography. It has an extremely fast aperture that creates a very shallow depth of field and creamy bokeh. The lens is also surprisingly small and light for such a fast lens. The lens has a metal body and an aperture ring with click stops. The focus ring is smooth and easy to use, but has a long focus throw. The lens has decent sharpness and color rendition, but exhibits some coma and flare at wide apertures. Price is only 112 $ (!).

Overall, I think the TT Artisan lenses are great options for Fujifilm X shooters who want to experiment with different focal lengths and apertures without breaking the bank. They are not perfect lenses, but they have a lot of character and charm that can enhance your photography. The price is phenomenal! I personally did not keep any of them because I have more than enough lenses, but I was blown away by how much you get for your money!
